The Art of Invention

Patent Press Greeting Cards is a unique boutique line of more than 400 clever and artistic greeting cards featuring artwork that originally accompanied actual patent applications filed with the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

The company was founded in 2017 by the late Bob Hickey, a 13-year employee of Lifetime Assistance and former Work Center Business Manager for Lifetime’s LAICO Industries division. He generously donated the successful nationally recognized greeting card business to Lifetime Assistance to provide meaningful employment opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He saw the donation as a marriage of two of his passions.

These unique cards can be purchased through the Patent Press Greeting Card website, patentpressgreetingcards.com and are also available in more than 100 stores and museums throughout the United States. In Rochester, NY, the cards are sold at Parkleigh and Record Archive.
