How your generosity is used
With your generous support, we’re able to maintain and improve many Lifetime Assistance programs, including health and wellness, educational advancement, technology, adaptive life and mobility and transfer equipment, recreation, and Special Olympics among other services.
A few ways your donations make a difference
A Recent grant from the M&T Foundation gave $20,000 to help individuals with developmental disabilities go to school. Students have the chance to attend Monroe Community College’s Damon Campus to audit classes and enroll in internships with the goal of getting a better job in the community.
Many of the individuals we support are in need of technology that will increase mobility and accessibility. For example, funds from several local foundations and community supporters resulted in a successful $385,000 campaign, funding mobility lifts and transfer equipment for hundreds of individuals.
Working with TouchStream Solutions and with support from a generous grant from the Developmental Disabilities Giving Circle, new doors to independence have opened. Technology, with personal and health care/activity reminders, has maximized independence, while assuring health and safety.
