Lifetime Assistance Recreational Services

Recreational Services

Our Community Recreation Program was established in 1987 and continues to be a favorite among families and the community. Since its inception, the program has served thousands of adults and their families in Monroe County.

Activities

Activities are designed to meet the needs of participants and their families. We know family members need to spend quality time in other activities. Our Community Recreation Program gives families a break from care-giving responsibilities.

Whether taking part in a basketball game, a cooking club, or an ice cream social, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families, have access to a wide choice of unique programs and recreational activities through Lifetime Assistance.

Member Newsletter

Our monthly member newsletter provides a schedule of the many activities available including the opportunity to attend a show or play, a baseball game, bowling, basketball, swimming, crafts, dances, movies, picnics, and bingo. Recreation participants also enjoy attending local sporting events, concerts, and day trips to amusement parks.

Lifestyle Program

Our unique Lifestyles program offers a more individualized, one-to-one approach to recreation, allowing people to pursue their favorite interests and hobbies. Recreation and Leisure Time Coaches work with each person to help identify and pursue their choice of leisure activities.
